FOCUS (Filipino Organization of Concordia University Students) mission is to serve as a platform to CELEBRATE and promote the Filipino identity, culture and heritage to Filipinx students and other Concordia students alike through different cultural events; to provide a space and create a community for all Filipinx students – no matter their background, generation, gender, and sexual identity – living in the diaspora to network and CONNECT with each other; to CHALLENGE important issues that are relevant to the youth in the Filipino community by hosting workshops and conferences with the purpose of creating dialoguehttps://www.facebook.com/focusconcordia/

PINAY POWER II: Celebrating Peminisms in the Diaspora is a gathering of self- identified Pinays in the diaspora. The first Canadian academic and community conference bringing together Filipinx scholars, activists, artists, community and cultural practitioners, PP II is an intentional intervention for the creation of a peminist agenda for the 21st century. Filipino-Canadian Futures is a three-day conference in Montreal that brings together Filipino youth, youth leaders, practitioners, and professionals, community leaders, and community engaged scholars to create greater intergenerational capacity for community organizing and research, and strategize for the future. BAHAY is a non-profit event promotion organization that “represents a home away from home for Asian talent in the diaspora”. They are a collective of Asian artists based out of Montreal, Quebec; they organize and boost various events and networking opportunities for other Asian creatives while raising money for humanitarian causes. PINAY QUEBEC is a not-for-profit grassroots organization for migrant and immigrant Filipino women that was founded in 1991. Our mission is to empower Filipino women, and in particular domestic workers, to fight for their basic rights and welfare. They educate caregivers on their rights, organize migrant and immigrant women workers, provide services to our members and advocate for progressive changes to immigration and labour policy in Quebec. Pinoys on Parliament: National Youth Leadership Conference (POP) is a “premier” national youth leadership conference for young Filipino-Canadians in Ottawa, Ontario. Through panels of Filipino leaders in various fields and workshops, POP provides young Filipino-Canadians with an environment where they can exchange perspectives on what it is like to grow up as a Filipino-Canadian and the obstacles that come with pursuing each of their careers. SSMU (Students’ Society of McGill University) is the student’s representation to the McGill administration.  They work for fairer academic justice processes, better quality instruction, and better services for students.
